Wix Automations: Automations Don't Run Retroactively

On Wednesday, Alex set up an automation that notifies a customer when an invoice is overdue. John received an invoice on Tuesday (the day before). On Thursday, the due date for the invoice was reached, but a notification wasn't sent. This was because the automation was only activated after the invoice was received, and it didn't collect the trigger data on the date John received his invoice.

Daniel signed up for a cooking class on Wednesday. The following day (Thursday), Josh set up an automation that asks his participants to write a review after their session ends. Since Daniel signed up for the class before the automation was set up, he won't receive this email.

On Tuesday, Seth set up an automation to notify customers when a pricing plan has expired. Anne purchased a pricing plan on Monday (the day before). Since Anne made her purchase before the automation was set up, she won't be notified when the pricing plan expires.

Sarah set an automation using Wix Event’s trigger, to send a notification to her guests when the event ends. Max attended the event but didn't check-in before the end of the event. Since Max didn't check-in, the automation didn't collect the trigger data and he won't receive the notification.

On Monday, Jane deactivates her automation that sends "thank you" emails to her customers after they made a purchase. Molly makes a purchase from Jane's store on Tuesday. Jane reactivates her automation on Wednesday. Molly won't receive a "thank you" email because the automation didn't collect the trigger data on the day of Molly's purchase.
