ADI: Setting Up Your Wix Forum

Better engage with your community with Wix Forum. Customize your forum's layout, post settings and more.
Choose what you want to customize:
General Settings
Update the basic details of your forum as well as how you want the forum displayed on your site.
- Forum Name: Update the name of your forum.
- Forum Description: Describe what your forum is about. The description shows below the forum name in the header.
- Main Page: Decide whether to display your category list or post list on the forum's main page. Note: you need at least two categories to choose a main page.
- Sort Posts By: Click the dropdown to choose a criteria such as Most Viewed, Most Liked, or Newest to sort each forum post.
- Display Details: Choose which display elements to show with each forum post. Deselect the blue checkmark on the right for the elements you don't want to appear.
- Post Updates: Enable or disable the toggle to display or hide new and related posts.
- Post Auto-Suggest: Enable or disable the toggle to display or hide suggested similar posts.
- Forum Menu: Enable or disable the toggle to allow site members to log in from the forum.
- Member Signup Settings: Click the Member Signup button to update the member settings of your site. Note: these options apply to your Member's Area only.
Category List
Your forum's main page displays the category list by default. You can change the text of your category list banner in your forum's general settings.
Choose what you want to customize:
- Header: Show or hide the forum's header and banner image.
- Subcategories: Show or hide any subcategories from your main category list.
注： To customize your category list you must have more than one category in your forum. To add, edit or rearrange categories first preview your site, click the settings icon 
at the top right of the forum and select + New Category.

Each category of your forum has its own page and post list that displays every post in that category.
- Page Header: Select or deselect the blue checkmark to show or hide the post list's page header and banner.
注： If you want to edit the content of a specific post list banner you can do so from preview or from your live site.- Preview your site.

When someone posts to your forum, they see a toolbar with options of different elements such as video, images, GIFs, and more to add to their post. Select or deselect the blue checkmark beside the elements you want to include or hide.
Manage Your Forum
Click Manage Forum at the bottom of your Forum settings to create new posts, rearrange posts, and delete old posts.
